When purchasing an insurance policy it can be daunting answering the questions regarding the insured values. Very few property owners are able to accurately calculate these costs without the services of a professional. In the absence of doing so, we have provided a link to assist in calculating the sum insured, you will need to know the approximate size in square metres of the property and consider any extensions or improvements.

Contents calculations are potentially easier to determine, however it is common for people to only think about the value of their expensive items and not truly appreciate the value of items such as clothes, Blu-Rays and DVDs, kitchen items or sporting goods. Another benefit of completing this calculator is that it will make it easier to determine the correct policy as many policies contain sub limits for certain items unless they are noted separately.
